lene alexandra - prima donna

lene had been a model for years, and was a contestant on norway's version of "survivor". she became friends with the host who owned c+c records, and saw a chance for her dream to come true. she gave up modeling and offered to work at c+c records for free without a salary as long as one day she would get to record music with them. seven years later, she started working on her album.

the resulting album was called welcome to sillycone valley (i posted it back when it came out. view this post on the regular pop dance life here for a link!), and it spawned four hit singles in norway and other countries around the world. and i'm not just saying that, they were actually hits! three of them were given music videos, which all had high budgets, and lene became a star.

after completing promotion for her album, she received an offer from another label. soon after that, she left c+c records and signed with sony music. primadonna is her first single under sony music, and it's quite different from her other songs, and slightly more serious. it's very catchy and the lyrics are very sassy...i absolutely love it!

i have so much respect for lene for following her dream and taking a huge risk in doing so! i hope she becomes very successful, and i'm sure she has what it takes! please download prima donna and listen to it, then if you like it, buy it (it is currently only available for purchase in european countries)!
